- The medium knitting machine's 30 different stitch sizes make it the automatic-mechanical knitting machine model that best covers the market. It knits fine (not too fine), medium, and coarse (not too coarse) knits. The needle equivalency range ranges from 1.5 to 3.5 for all needles and up to 4.5/5 for alternate needles.
- The Silver SK280 knitting machine has a large number of accessories for the automation of specific production processes.
- It can knit all types of materials: wool, acrylic, synthetic, cotton, etc., and their blends (in their metric size range).
- Needle count: 200, metal, articulated (tongue), heavy-duty.
- Stitch types: stockinette, woven, single motifs, slip stitch, retained-picked, silver-plated, lace, weft, etc. It allows you to create any stitch design you want on one or more sections of the fabric, leaving the rest in stockinette stitch, using the "magic" cams and design limiters. - Needle selection: automatic, using a mechanical drum-punched card system. Simply insert the card of the motif you wish to knit (24 needles repeated in width by the desired length), activate the stitch type controls, and move the carriage. The machine will automatically select the required needles for each knitting pass.
- Needle bed: metal, single-block frame, three-point needle retention (metal zipper at the rear, metal strap in the central area, and foam bar at the front). The single-block frame provides great structural rigidity, regularity in stitch formation, and eliminates long-term horizontal play.
- Carriage: the SK280 knitting machine controls the three selection channels using a simple central and side cam. Needle control in position "D" (partial knitting) is via "Russel" cams. The SK280 knitting machine carriage features precision bearings at all four ends, making movement much smoother and almost effortless.
